本人曾經在英國留學兩年半，為2024 GCE A Level考生，在生物，化學，商業，中文考獲2A*2A。本人在讀sixth form期間連續兩年化學全級第一，生物全級第三，商業全級第一。當時UCAS predicted grade為4A*。本人曾自修GCSE三個月後考得6科grade 8或9，當時修讀科目包括英文(first language)，物理，化學，生物，數學，商業，中文 （普通話）。本人曾參加英國Biology Olympiad UK 2023 獲得highly commended award，而且參加Chemistry Olympiad UK 2024獲得銅獎。本人 A Level Business分數遠超於A*最低要求，甚至在paper 2考得84/100（A*最低要求是70/100），本人三份考卷合併超除A*最低要求20多分。本人補習時會提供私人筆記和練習，有助學生學習個種體型和答題框架，幫助學生清理concept。本人盡責有耐心，會努力教好學生不懂的地方。

Learning just the grammar & form of language by dull memorisation is not enough, we also have focus on pronunciation, speaking and writing, which these skills are the ones pupils from local school would need to work on (we say let’s crack on it in the UK) Language is all about communication, and I hope my teaching can restore this element, which perhaps is missing in your local school syllabus. Personal information: I do my study in UCL (QS #9 in the world), 1st year philosophy student, holding an approved TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certificate, which enables myself to make use of the modern & interactive approaches to practise for both fluency and accuracy of students. I am London based and have stayed there for 8 years and so I will host my teaching as one-to-one online teaching. My A-level results: Psychology - A* Economics - A Business - A Chinese - A My RP accent helps correcting their pronunciation: One thing about my teaching method is to teach English in a native (British) way; with more phrases that the natives usually say altogether, to express English. For example, we will work on adapting an accurate pronunciation. I personally have an accurate British Received Pronunciation (RP: prestigious middle-class accent in the UK), enabling them confidence to speaking in real-life once they pick up the correct way of saying words out and if the others can understand what they say. The materials will be designed as stimulative and flexible. Content will be taught gradually in blended learning experience (FaceTime teaching + interactive online learning tools). In the lesson, we mainly focus on what you have learned about the form of language like grammar or vocabulary in previous digital or real-time lesson, and output what you learned by speaking & writing practices, since language is learned by using it. It explains why some kids in a foreign country can quickly pick up their language. Organisation is the key: Grammar & vocabulary that have been learned by student will also be ‘recycled’ in an organised schedules, since linguistic experts have suggested we need to recycle these items at least 16 times in any occasion (e.g. teaching, games, speaking practices) in order to let students fully assimilate with and memorise them into long-term memory. Blended learning experience to retain flexibility and enhance its convenience: Some parts will be taught using interactive videos enabling you to learn at your own pace and revisit to online materials at anytime you want making it fun and not dull anymore!
